Description

Genuine Australian military issue 1st Royal New South Wales Lancers hat badge. Beautifully die-stamped white metal alloy construction featuring an elephant head crest, crossed lances, and a detailed laurel wreath.

Dating to the 1948–1956 post-war period, this badge is approximately 70 to 78 years old. The reverse features two intact original wire mounting lugs and is crisply maker-marked "SWANN & HUDSON FRANKSTON VIC", a firm founded in 1947. An excellent, historically accurate example for militaria collectors.

Condition: Very fine vintage condition with sharp details and intact fittings
