An exceptional, investment-grade piece of late-Victorian architectural hardware. This heavy, solid brass center door pull features a classic reeded "beehive" profile, complete with its original matching concentric rose backplate.
This is a true fixed decorative center pull (non-turning dummy knob) designed to bolt completely through an external or grand entrance door. The rear of the rose plate features its authentic sharp locating pins, intended to bite directly into the timber to prevent twisting during heavy use.
The square mounting collar is crisply stamped with the historical manufacturer mark "L & C" over the sequential British Patent Office Registry Design Number "2052". This sequence dates the design registration precisely to the opening months of 1884, guaranteeing its authentic 19th-century origin.
It retains an incredible, untouched aged golden patina with beautiful natural oxidation and historic verdigris on the rear faces.
