An original Australian home front World War II Female Relatives' Badge. Established in 1940 by the Commonwealth Government, these historic badges were issued to the nearest female relatives (wives or mothers) of personnel serving abroad in the RAN, AMF, or RAAF. The single bronze star on the lower bar denotes one family member on active service.

Manufactured by the prominent Melbourne maker G & E Rodd, this genuine piece features a crisp strikescript, original reverse pin attachment, and distinct serial details. A beautiful, uncleaned example of Australian wartime history.
