An authentic piece of early Australian barware history. This antique Australian Brickworks novelty waiter ashtray dates back to the early 20th century. Bespoke cast from dense kiln earthenware clay, these unmarked folk-art style pieces were locally produced by Australian brickmakers as whimsical side projects.

Features a hand-painted waiter in a tuxedo carrying three frothing beer jugs, standing above an integrated catch basin. The front rim is distinctively inscribed with the classic early Aussie vernacular phrase: This'll make you whistle.

Condition: Good antique condition with authentic, age-appropriate paint wear and chipping that highlights its historic character. Structural earthenware is completely solid with no major structural cracks or repairs. Unmarked as is standard for these early industrial folk pieces.
