VARIO 15 is an incredibly versatile, pourable, two-component silicone rubber that easily cures at room temperature, offering a customizable hardness specific to your application. As a modular addition curing system, it allows you to blend at any ratio with Vario 40, which in turn provides the flexibility needed for a wide range of uses, including mould-making, technical silicone parts, and encapsulation of electrical components. Furthermore, by adjusting the combination of Vario Catalyst and Catalyst F, you gain precise control over the reactivity, ensuring the perfect outcome for your project.

In addition to its adaptability, VARIO 15 features a low viscosity, making it especially easy to process. It cures quickly without any chemical shrinkage, which is particularly beneficial for prototype and reproduction moulding applications. Moreover, with a Shore A hardness of 15, this silicone rubber delivers high elongation, exceptional tensile strength, and outstanding tear resistance. Once cured, the rubber is translucent and colourless; however, it can be easily pigmented using 1-4% ELASTOSIL® Pigment Pastes FL to create custom colours.

Importantly, VARIO 15 is both BfR and FDA compliant, making it safe for food-contact applications. Additionally, it is highly recommended for moulds, skins, SPFX, props, tinted parts, and resin work. With a convenient pot life of 90 minutes and a de-mould time of 6-12 hours, VARIO 15 proves to be efficient and adaptable for a wide range of applications.
