Mary Ann Pearson created a magnificent sampler.  A vivid red geranium border surrounds large, fanciful birds and butterflies.  A tall hand basket is filled with fruit and dangling posies, watched over by two delightful girls in period dress, holding their feathered bonnets.  The antique was worked mostly in wools and black silk.
