Fanny Covell worked her exquisite sampler in her 8th year. It has gorgeous colours, gardens, birds and butterfies. In the centre cartouche Fanny wrought:

"All you my friends who now expect to see
A piece of work thus performed by me

Model stitched on 40 count linen using Needlepoint Silks. An alternative is provided in DMC cottons.
