Description
From the FITZWILLIAM MUSEUM.

A queen, a princess, a boxer with a bishop's crosier, and three boxers bearing acorns are featured on this fine English band sampler. The clothing on the nobles is enhanced with silver metallic bullion. The sampler begins with a section of whitework, and contains lovely arcaded pattern bands featuring roses, acorns, honeysuckle, pomegranate, pansies and daisies.

Stitches used are counted satin, cross, Montenegrin cross, buttonhole filling, double running, Croatian flat, queen, faggot, seeding, and rice.

On our exclusive 35 count, hand-dyed linen, the finished sampler will measure approximately 6-3/4" x 32-1/2"

It is recommended for more advanced needleworkers.
