Hi Annette and thank you for your email. This vacuum cleaner does not come with a HEPA filter. Filtration is relevant to all vacuum cleaners. The filtration does vary between different brands and models. This particular unit has a cloth filter that protects the motor. There are optional disposable paper or synthetic bags which are in them selves filters.
