Does this item have a boxy looking grill on the other side of it?

Hi and thank you for your question. Yes it could be described as boxy grill. These box vacuum cleaners have 2 filters, one skinny pre motor filter which goes just after the bag. The other is a much thicker HEPA filter (this one here) which sits on top where the air is expelled.
